the 1 in piece i got from rocky mountain mattress is very strong so anyone know if the frebreeze would help or hurt it.

Just let it air out naturally. If I recall correctly it took around 1-2 weeks for the smell of my FBM latex bed to completely dissipate. I also wouldn't want to get the latex wet.

I have learned that cooking items in a hot car is a good fast way to "bake" out solvent smells and musty odors. You might try that to accelerate the airing-out of new foam. You don't leave the item in ther forever. You just bake it long enough to do the job. discliamer: I have never done this with latex foam. lol
