Where is cheapest to buy 1" very soft latex

Someone in another thread mentioned using Latex International's 19 ILD blended talalay for a topper. I have been using one that is probably a 24 ILD and would like to try a softer one. I don't really care if it's Talalay or natural as long as it's not Dunlop. (Do they even make Dunlop in low ILD? I doubt it.)

Hi Jim,

You might try Foambymail. They have about the cheapest prices on Talalay latex in a 20 ILD. That's pretty soft. And you can get it in 1" thickness, which isn't widely available. It's $52.99 in the twin size. Here's the link: http://www.foambymail.com/LatexTTwin.html

Jim - I saw a 1.5" dunlop latex topper at Boulder Mattress a few weeks back that was very soft. Their web store may have some of these to sell (stock was iffy):

I'm neither recommending nor not recommending foamsource.com. I will say that the store clerk was somewhat dismissive until I indicated that I was going to purchase something.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to check overstock.com but I don't think they have latex, do they?

Thanks. I checked their site. I THINK 18 is the lowest you can get, so 20 is pretty soft. I wish I knew what ILD the one I have is. I THINK it's around 24 but not sure. I'd like something just a little softer, but what if I buy one and it turns out to be the same as the one I have? That's the problem. I'll have to think about this...

Check out sleeplikeabear.com... they have softer than FBM's and a very good track record... while slightly more than FBM's 18-20 ILD, I think they may be the cheapest for Talalay softer than 18 ILD.

I've read in a few posts that people think the International Latex talalay is softer than the FBM talalay for the same ILD rating. (FBM latex runs a bit hard for the rating).

Foambymail seems to be the clear winner for price...
Dunlop, from what I know, makes a better base than a topper. (though I could be wrong)
Sleeplikeabear sounds great in the super soft ild BUT it's a LOT more expensive. If money were no object I'd probably go for that one, though.

I agree--i'd love to see what SLAB's 19ILD latex feels like, but FBM wins for price!
