This website is very misleading

Likley my last thread.  "With all due respect", this website clearly is not in pursuit of discussing "what's the best mattress". It should "honestly" be called the, "The latex mattress forum". NO disrespect, but I have not seen to much discussion on other mattresses aside from latex. I will likely be getting a latex, but not a homemade or mail order version.

How can a sight called "What's the best mattress" not include threads on Shifman, Kluft, Royal Pedic and others?

" What's the best mattress " is according to average consumers'
" knowledge and experience ".
If you search this forum, you will find references regarding Shifman and other brands.

Right now, there is a great deal of interest on Latex and foam mattresses as an
alternative to innerspring ones due to many appealing factors surrounding them and folks are simply exchanging their ideas and experiences.

It turns out that a lot of people think latex and other foams are better than most of the spring type mattresses.
I myself have found that to be true.
I think there may be some very good spring mattresses but they are the ones that run upwards of $3000+. The typical "S" brand mattresses with springs are cr*p, in many people's opinions.
So that's why the people here tend to focus on foam.

By the way, most of those $1000-2000 spring mattresses you buy - guess what's in them? Cheap, lousy foam. Not the good kind of foam we talk about on this site, but cheapo junk foam - polyurethane foam, that breaks down very quickly and provides zero support.

So that may have something to do with why most people here talk about latex, omalon, HR and M-grade foam. As far as I know there is no conspiracy.

From the FAQ:

FAQ:
Q - Where is the old forum?
A - Right here:  http://legacy.whatsthebest-mattress.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=wtb-mattress

Q - Where are the mattress reviews from the old site?
A -  The mattress reviews have been moved from the old site to the new site.  You will notice that they are all posted by "admin"  that is a necessary issue with moving them from the old format to this one.  Each new review will have the username of the reviewer listed with it.

Don't confuse the Forum with the Website. The Website outlines all kinds of mattresses. You hear a lot about latex on the Forum because that's what people are interested in. However, it's not the only thing we talk about. The fact is there is no one mattress type that is best for all people. If you spend the time to read through this Forum you will see that other kinds of mattresses-- innerspring, memory foam, hybrid and yes, even waterbeds... are represented.
