Tempurpedic HD material is for softness/plush

Somehwere here, I think here, someone said my conversation with Tempurpedic where I was told the new HD material they use is for  increased softness and not firmness, was wrong...

It isnt, I have called twice, spoken to 2 different reps, both say the same thing...

Just thought I would clear that up....It surprised me, I would have thought the opposite.

Go to www.tempur-pedic.com on the front page it shows the new Tempur Cloud Supreme " a true innovation in softness and support".

Tempur ES has a 4.1 lbs density. Regular tempur is 5.34 lbs. Tempur HD is 7 lbs.

HD is not for incleased softness It is for increased support without a harsh feel. Yes, it will feel softer than most beds offering similar support.

If your looking for super plush go with a bed with Tempur ES NOT HD.

here is the question i asked two of their csrs

does the hd material add firmness of softness

emphatically, softness

fact: both of them said the firmest beds are the cheapest beds as they have the least amount of other materials etc...

i wanted the HD to mean firmer as I wanted to get the Rhapsody

sounds like you are saying that the hd makes a softer plush bed a little firmer but they are softer to begin with

trust me, i want it to mean what you say it means, but the darn company says it doesnt...even told me they get more of those returned for the other ones for this very reason

Randy,

I have spent considerable time on the Rhapsody (if I had purchased a Tempurpedic it would have been the Rhapsody) and I can *emphatically* tell you it is *not* a soft mattress.  It is firmer and more supportive than the classic and the deluxe.

I don't know why these reps are telling you something that is patently untrue.

just spoke to the THIRD rep

hd provides a deeper cradle, you sink in further with the hd...

but the 7lbs means it is firmer, right?  not necessarily, etc...is the answer

i will be trying them out again tomorrow, but i dont want to buy the wrong one and have to return it...oh well

why this is so important is 30 minutes or even an hour on each of them will not tell me what i need to know, my pain starts at about 3 am or about 8 hours after i get into the bed...yes, i go to bed early
