Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe questions

We are seriously considering buying the Luxe by tomorrow evening to get special year end promotions.  I would like to hear from those who actually have the Luxe.

How long has the Luxe been available.

How long have you had the luxe and is it still feeling great.

We currently own the top of the line Simmons Beautyrest pillowtop for only 6 years and are experiencing such shoulder and back pain when sleeping.

Any comments are welcome - good and bad:)

Thanks!

Good Day again gert69!

I do sleep on a Luxe, have had it since the beginning of May this year, still sleep very well and usually wake up about 5-6 minutes before my alarm goes off... literally almost everyday and do not feel like I am missing any rest. The Luxe has been out, I think, for about 15 months. If you have tried it and liked the way it feels in the store, I say try it!

Couple of things to be aware or try to get:

  • Comfort Exchange or Return Policy to allow yuo the opportunity to try it long enough to break it in and you to adjust to a new sleeping surface
  • Condition the entire top of the mattress during the first 6 months... many times this comes from sleeping all over (including corners and the middle) or wlaking/crawling the entire length and width of the bed in an even pattern so that all parts of the bed are conditioned evenly. I know it can be extra work, but if your consultant does not cover this with you, it can very frustrating to experience without prior knowledge.
  • The "new car smell" does go away pretty quickly, mine lasted about a day and a half (with my windows open during the summer)
  • Make sure if you are not getting new pillows, to test the bed with the pillows you currently own to make sure your alignment is still proper... too thick or too thin and your neck will scream pretty loudly in the morning.
  • Soreness during the first few weeks is very normal as your back is getting re-adjusted. Your sleep consultant should give you a Tempurpedic tear-away sheet that says, "Congratulations on choosing your Tempurpedic bed!" It has some great info for firswt time users

I know you are gonna love it! (at least, I absolutely love mine!!!)

Sleep Well "gert69"!
