Should I use a zippered bag for a latex topper? Source to buy?

I'm going to buy a 2" latex topper and wondered if you just lay it on the mattress by itself or is it wise to buy a zippered bag to hold it in place? Any sources for these bags? thanks in advance... |

For maximum life it is a good idea, but on the other hand I have had mine unzipped as part of my layers of foam for at least 5 years and it seems to be fine. But yeah, cover it...
