I ordered a foambymail 6" core with 1" topper, this took 9 business  days to ship, we like the mattress but am finding it too firm so I ordered a 2" convoluted topper from foamorder - I placed this order sep 23 and it still hasn't shipped yet.  It seems that these places are simply ordering the product when I order it then shipping it out to me when they get it (or they only work every other week).  This is frustrating since we are trying to get the mattress right, is there a reputable company that stocks inventory and ships it out quickly? It was a tossup between sleeplikeabear's 1" 14 and the foamorder convoluted- I opted to keep it all natural but it's not worth being uncomfortable for 3 weeks. 

sleeplikeabear was very timely when they shipped to me.  I spoke to a rep 1 day and it was shipped the next day.

I think it is pretty much hit or miss depending on what/when you order.  I ordered 2 things for SLAB.  One was shipped right away, and one took about a week to be shipped.  You probably have to call to see if they have it in inventory and when it would be shipped.  This industry seems a little slower than most of my experience in online shopping.

I ordered something from SLAB on Sept 20th and they say they won't ship until October 5th.  It might depend on what they have in stock vs having to order from factory?

Yes, I don't think they inventory everything they sell.  So, for certain items, they might not order from the factory until they receive an order.  Possibly it would get drop shipped from a distribution center somewhere else.
