Serta iComfort has stick on / peel off law tag - see photo

That's right, click on box, photo in upper left photo -

Seems easy for someone (mfr. , retailer , whoever) to peel off, stick on another label.

Photo in upper left.  Notice how it is stuck on crooked too.  Makes it more obvious.  Two iComforts at store were like this too.

This is cheesy.  Law tag should be sewn into fabric cover like ... everything else has.

This uniform labeling document says 'label shall be securely affixed ....'  and the example label shows a 'space for stitching' of law label.  I didn't see  requirement of label to be stitched on although most are.

Hi Slpngoc-

The picture didnt show up, I never looked at my tag so I wouldnt know.  I am still enjoying my vera wang, so much happier that I didnt keep my Insight.  Memory foam, at least the Icomfort, was not for me.  Wish you the best on your search for the right bed.

Pete's,  Link should take you to a flickr photostream, it's upper left pic.

I got a SleepEZ all latex bed last week and it is going quite well.

I don't like the iComforts very much.  The foundations are virtually trash.  Tempurpedic has their act together IMO, iComfort, not.

Think about this folks,

Why is it that some people report a strong odor coming from their new iComfort , and others do not?

I've purchased a few memory foam toppers that stunk pretty bad when new.

So, my iComfort did not smell much at all when it was delivered.  How is that possible if it was bagged right after manufacturing?  Does some memory foam sit out and air out before it's put into a bed?

I'm just thinking, here we have a mattress with a stick on / peel off label (or should I say peel off (old) / stick on (new) label.  And Serta is advertising a '120 day risk free in home trial'.  Sounds like return with no fess involved.

Does anyone have new Tempurpedics come in and they don't smell at all?

I can attest my Insight smelled horrible.  My dog wouldnt enter our bedroom from Friday until Monday night.  My wife and I had our bedroom door closed, windows open, and ceiling fan on for the entire weekend.  It dissipated enough to sleep on it Monday night, but we almost had to leave the house it smelled so bad in the entire 2000sq ft home we have.

Thank you Pete's.  I remember all your posts, and about the smell also.  Such a different experience than I had and I wonder why.

Just a week before I got the iComfort, I bought a Sleep Innovations 2" memory foam topper, shrink wrapped in box.  whew, that thin smelled like , eeeek, memory foam , chemicals, nasty.

So strange my iComfort didn't have a smell.  It was supposedly manufactured 2 days before I received it.  Hmmmmm.
