Hi all! I'm new to the forum and hoping to get some great mattress advice. I'm moving to NY from the west coast and am shopping for a new mattress. My mattress set (mattress+box spring) in California was a full Sears-o-pedic Comfort Cloud Iridescent LX II Firm (I believe this is the name, unfortunately I'm no longer in California and can't verify). The mattress description was similar to this:
- Marvelux® Foam Exquisite foam that provides an extra level of cushioning to create a firm, yet luxurious feel
- Two layers of Sears-O-Pedic SuperSoft Foam Soft, high density foam that cushions and conforms to your body to provide a plush, luxurious feel
- Resilium A marvelous resilient fiber that offers the loft, softness and breathability of cotton but bounces back to retain its plumpness, shape and support for longer Comfort Life™
- DuraFiber™ Extra Pad Super-firm blend of natural and synthetic fibers to give you extra support and longer Comfort Life™
- Comfort Response Individually Wrapped Coils 713 queen coils conform to the bodys unique shape and sleeping position to provide luxurious comfort and eliminate motion disturbance
- XpandEdge Plus Durable foam rail supports and strengthens the seating edge, while the heavy-gauge border wire provides uniformity and stability
- Lok-Tight Stabilizer Provides added surface stability in the middle one-third of the mattress where body weight is concentratedM/LI>
I think the Iridescent LX line was a little less fancy.
My tastes may be a little plebian, but honestly, I just LOVED that bed. Sears no longer carries the Iridescent model and it's not available at the Sears Outlets. I would love to get any ideas about similar/equivalent mattresses available in Full. Sadly, there's a good chance that I will have to order online without trying the mattresses (a disaster, I know). Even if I do have a chance to try things out, I'd love to be able to narrow my search. My preference would be to keep the purchase (well) under $1000. I'd also take any thoughts about Sears-o-pedic mattresses generally.
Any input is greatly appreciated!!!
