I started this process about one month ago.   Ive done my research and listened to the comments on this board.

I have asked three companies for samples and only heard from one.  Still waiting on Sleep like a Bear and SleepEz....have called
both back to find out where are the samples.  We will see.

I have two more questions for you guys.....

What is the product like from Foam by Mail.  My first impression was the product wasn't that great...but recently I have heard its ok.
What do you guys think that have product from them?

Also, what do you think about, instead of a 3"  Talalay topper, I get a 2" topper and some type of wool cover?

I would be grateful for any feedback.... Thanks you guys :):)

I found that rockymountainmattress has some good prices on 2" and 3" 100% natural talalay from Latex International.  Usually can also get a 5% off coupon code (search under google).  I paid no shipping or sales tax, but you cannot return.  They also have dunlop on the website.  They only list 2 ILDs for each type, but they might be able to get something else if you wanted.  Service was slightly slow, but they came through.

After more research...I have seen FBM have some complaints unresolved on the internet.

Still waiting for samples from SleepEz....

Any comments about a wool topper over the Latex.

I personally think that 3" of soft foam can be too much no matter what kind it is.
I would go with 2x 1" layers, that gives you flexibility, and then get a wool topper.

I bought the 32ILD from SleepEZ but not sure it's soft enough for a top layer. It might be. I am using what seems to feel like a slightly softer latex layer on top of that ("found" piece; not sure what the actual ILD is) I think FBM sells a softer latex (20ILD?) I would get one of those and one 28-32ILD , each one inch thick from SleepEZ or Rockymountainmattress. I like the "natural" Talalay. Not a fan of Dunlop, at least not for a topper.

I got my wool mattress pad here but its expensive!
