Relyon Empress v. Relyon Braemar Firm

Is the Relyon Empress softer/more forgiving than the Relyon Braemar firm? The Braemar has proven too hard and is causing lower back stiffness in the morning. I love the overall feel of the Relyons, but am afraid to make the same (very expensive) mistake twice. Any thoughts?
