platform bed to isolate movement?

Hi,

I'm still in the process of updating our bedding system to a more motion-isolating one. Just went to check out some mattresses, and while there the salesman recommended a platform bed as opposed to a box spring, in order to help isolate movement.

For some reason i hadn't thought of this before. Will the platform greatly help in isolating movement, or just a little bit? Any special aspects i should look for? And do i therefore need not look for a mattress that isolates movement as much?

Thanks for any advice!
