Pillows offering a choice of loft in addition to firmness?

Can someone point me to a source for pillows where I can choose a higher loft without necessarily buying a firmer pillow? I like the height of a firm pillow, but the softness of a medium pillow. I think I need a "high loft medium firmess" pillow. Is there such a thing?

Edit:

Upon further review...I guess what I'm asking doesn't really make sense. Pillow-cases are a standard size, so you can't make the pillow any thicker. All you can do is make the pillow more firm. In terms of a down pillow, this would be determined by the "fill weight". It can also be done by adding feathers, which are more firm than down.

One thing that I find confusing is the term "firm." A "firm" feather and a "firm" latex pillow are two very different things. I tried a solid latex pillow and my head rested on top of it like I was laying on a balloon. I definitely like a softer surface feel with some "deep down support". I definitely think I'm on the right track with the "down-around" style pillow, but I'm still looking for the right loft and the right firmness for that inner core.

I have said this before, but there has just got to be a better way to choose a pillow, and to keep it feeling right. I have had pillows in the past that were just perfect, but they don't stay that way and every time I buy a new pillow it's pure hit or miss.

I don't agree with the author's assertion that it doesn't matter whether you lay on your back, side, or stomach. I don't doubt that these are all VERY nice pillows.
