Opinions Wanted on Tempurpedic Rhapsody vs Allura

Hello all! I have been trying to decide which Tempurpedic model to to buy and in the course of my research stumbled on this site. I have found some good info on Tempurpedics here but I am still having a hard time deciding between the Rhapsody and the Allura. I went to the mattress store today and tried out both beds...I don't notice that much difference between the two except to me the Allura's thicker HD pillowtop felt a little cushier and I liked the cover material, however I do like the fact that the Rhapsody's cover can actually be removed and washed (the Allura's cannot). I am planning on buying one of these with the adjustable ergo base. Anyone have any opinions about these two mattresses?

I also tried the new cloud supreme which they're really pushing on TV right now, and it felt way too soft...in fact I thought it felt too similar to a traditional pillow top mattress.

Personally since you are going to put this on an adjustable base I would recommend by default to go with the Rhapsody.  The other mattress is simply a little too thick, not going to work  as well on the adjustable base.  Both are fantastic mattresses though.

Thanks budgy, I was thinking the same thing...and I really don't feel much difference. Oddly, the Rhapsody seems softer to me even though it has a thinner layer of HD material...or maybe that's why it feels softer? Anyway I do like the washable cover and it is quite a bit cheaper. And, I think the ergo base massage motors will work better with a thinner mattress.
