Natura washable wool mattress pad review

I just received this mattress pad and thought I'd post a few comments for anyone also considering purchasing the same item:

http://www.thecleanbedroom.com/Organic_Mattresses/Mattress_Pads/Natura_Cotton_and_Wool_Mattress_Pads.htm

First, although their price was the best, the above noted company billed my credit card the day of my order, though the item did not ship for almost 2 weeks.  It's a custom order from Natura in Ontario, Canada.   The mattress pad finally arrived via UPS and was in a cardboard box but had no plastic cover or bag of any kind.   I suppose this is in keeping with their "all organic" reputation??    Anyway, it was clean and in good condition.

The pad itself is not that thick so it does not interfere with the "feel" of the latex under it.   I was a little disappointed that it did not have any sort of elastic sides to help hold it in place.  It just tucks under the mattress with a generous depth.  After a short trial I am quite pleased with how it does seem to keep an even temperature and absorb any possible moisture.  I guess my only serious criticism is the quality of the stitching.   The stitching lines are ROUGH and raised so that if you run your hand over the bed you can feel every seam.  It didn't seem to bother me while sleeping but some of you might find this a problem if you are sensitive to minor "bumps" in your bedding.

If I had to do it over again, I'd probably buy the "St Dormier" or whatever that other brand mentioned on here was to hopefully eliminate the rough stitching lines.  I should have listened to Budgy!   hahaha

one thing I can say about the Natura pad is that the cotton sateen cover is great feeling.  I still use the Natura pad as I am happy with it and its in great shape, the sateen cover itself is also holding up very well, even after a few high heat cycles in the dryer which is a huge no-no for wool products in general.
