Simmons Comforpedic is it a good mattress and does it keep you cool?

I tried out the simmons series with the gel top , the one thats supposed to be really cool and the other memory foam ones at Macys furniture store the other day.  They were all labled as beautyrest and not the names on the simmonms site.  The one with the cool gel top was the beauty rest 1000x or something like that.  I also tried out the other Memory foam ones, 200 and 450 and one more i think.  They had far to much give for me and seemed to be very plush except the 1000 which was to gel like, like a mushy temperpedic and i thought it was warmer then i expected it would be.  In the end i went temperpedic as i felt it was a better bed and i am going to try the Allure bed, which i have heard is hot, but i'm willing to try it for now as i felt like it was very comfortable in the store.  I have very high hopes that it will be woth the high price tag.
