I stopped by a mattress outlet store and asked if they carry any Talalay latex mattresses. I was shown a latex bed by Restonic (at least the name Restonic was printed on a plastic cover at the foot of the bed). The salesman printed an information sheet with the heading: Comfort Dreams Latex
The information on the sheet included:
Support System: 10 inch Latex Bed
Comfort Layers:
Foam encased Dunlop latex core (I was told this was 6 inches of Dunlop latex but I don't know what "Foam encased" means)
2 in. of soft latex comfort layers
2 in. motion reducing foam
Quilting System:
FF barrier. Plus 1 1/2 in. flex foam, plus 1/2 in. soft restonic foam quilted to an “Outlast” cover (salesman talked about the NASA developed Outlast material to keep you cool and comfortable)
Foundation:
High profile steel support system
Non-skid decking
Continental cover
10 year non-prorated warranty
An online search on Restonic mattress found references stating Restonic buys its latex from Latex Foam International.
I would appreciate hearing about anyone's experience or knowledge concerning Restonic and its latex beds?
