Heated mattress pad on an Intellibed?

We purchased an Intellibed. When I go to bed before my husband, I am freezing and can not get warm. I have a heated mattress pad ( Sunbeam). Is it safe to use on the Intellibe?. Would it break down the gel? Will the gel tolerate the high heat for several hours at a time? Thanks
