Great price on 1" latex topper without a cover - get them while they last

I just received one of these toppers and ordered another one. They are a full 1" thick raw. The type and ILD are unknown, but I think they are relatively soft. I have one over a medium talalay blend 2.8"  over a firm talalay blend 2.8" and it is softer than the medium talalay blend.

These are supposed to be 80" x 80", but mine seemed to be about 79" x 79". The only thing I found wrong with them was that one edge about 4 inches was discolored like it was exposed to air or something. This was only on one side and in the same direction as the seam. They are new, with no rips, tears etc... There is however a seam down the middle.

You can't beat the price. My guess is that they are talalay, but I wouldn't know a blend from 100% natural.

Here is a link to their online store:

Click on Foam, then Mattress Toppers. They are currently $64 + shipping

Or on eBay here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330593800776?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

For $74.99 + shipping

If anyone has any questions about my experience, please let me know.

Thanks for the great tip!  I was thinking of buying a latex topper from FBM, but this is even better.

How has your experience been with your topper?  Did you order a second one because you found a single 1" topper inadequate?  My wife has rheumatoid arthritis, so I need something very soft.

Thanks

Thanks for this information, tyeske! I bought two of these toppers--received them Friday. One had only a one inch line of discoloration on one side, and the other had a one inch line on one side and one end. They were in excellent condition other than that. I am going to trim one (or both if needed) to use on a full size innerspring mattress in my guest room. This is a fantastic price!

Wow--times have changed! When I bought my mattress toppers in 2006, I paid $40 each for 1" of latex and 1" of memory foam (from Overstock).

@Carl383 - I don't have enough experience to tell you what ILD they might be, but 1" wasn't quite soft enough for me, but my wife thinks it's too soft now with 2 x 1" pieces. I'm not sure where from here. I may end up moving 1" down under the 2.8" medium. That would put 1" soft on top, then 2.8" med, 1" soft, 2.8" firm with 2" memory foam on the bottom. I can't see how the memory foam is doing anything, I'm using it just for the extra height.

I bought two of these.  One was slightly smaller than advertised - the other slightly larger.  Both were is good shape with a slight "burn" on one edge. We used them over our firm, medium, medium latex mattress from SleepEZ.  Like the previous poster, using one wasn't quite soft enough and using two was a little too soft.  We settled on using both and are really pleased with our purchase.  BTW, we started with soft, medium and firm layers from SleepEZ, but that combo was way too soft.
