Going Latex Shopping!

My mom purchased a latex mattress about 4 months ago.  Before then, I have never heard of Natural latex mattresses.  I love her mattress, it encouraged me to learn more, and eventually buy one myself.  So I began my research!  I found this awesome site...and it seems as though Flobeds and SleepEZ are the two most popular.  I have called and talked at length with Dewey at Flobeds and Shawn at Sleepez.  Both were very knowledgable.  I like the fact that you can customize your mattress with multiple firmnesses!  I have also gone the extra length to watch many videos on the manufacturing of latex.  It can definately beoverwhelming at first!  But I think I know what I want.

I was pleased to here that SleepEZ is just a short two hour drive from Tucson to Tempe!  So I am going to make the journey down to SleepEZ this Saturday!  I am going to "test drive" layered latex mattresses for the first time!  I will report my findings as soon as I get back!  Wish me luck!

I finally made it down to SleepEz yesterday!  I am looking to purchase a queen size Talalay Blend latex mattress. I have read so much on the processing of Talalay and Dunlop.  I wanted to see first hand the differences in appearance and feel between the two.   Jeremy was very patient with my questioning.  He answered all of my questions.  The customer service was great.

I am 5-4, 130lbs, and mainly a side sleeper.  I need a more plush and contouring mattress, so I am going with the Talalay.

I tried these combinations: soft over medium over firm; soft over soft over firm and soft over medium over medium.  I have to say, I think im going with the soft over medium over firm.  I really like the fact that Latex contours naturally to your body, and does not transfer motion to your partner.  Thats huge for me!

I will be ordering from SleepEZ soon, and when I do, I will post pics!  I very excited!

I think for your height and weight, soft over medium over firm should work for you. If not, then soft over medium over medium. Talalay is the best choice for anyone, in my opinion, unless you really like sleeping on a FIRM (rock-like) mattress. Good luck and please do review your purchase here!
