I noticed that tempurpedic sells split foundations for its mattresses. Should I get a split foundation for a queen size mattress or just 1 single foundation will work.

 Will split foundation change the feeling of the mattress in the center of the mattress or anywhere else in the mattress?

I am worried that a single foundation may cause sagging in the center of the mattress.

So are there any advantages to split foundation versus the 1 single foundation for queen size mattress.

No worries there "joed". The Tempur Foundations are not like boxsprings... they are solid like the floor. The split version is more suited to the person who has a very narrow staircase or tight bends where the Queen size foundation will not fit. It costs a little more so unless you need it for space, it is a waste of money.

You're right, they do have split queen foundations for some models.  They must do it so it is easier to lift a foundation.  Their foundation are quite heavy, not lightweight like the typical box springs with conventional mattresses.

A good frame should keep the split queen foundations pressed together.  The mattress won't sag in between.  Or just get the Queen foundation.

Before I set down my Tempurpedic foundation, I was able to pull the bottom fabric away just enough to confirm their is indeed a vertical piece of wood that supports the center from head to toe.  It would be virtually impossible for the foundation to sag in the middle.  I'm sure the Queen foundation has a reinforced vertical piece of wood right down the middle.

Just don't try to lift it by yourself, it is pretty heavy!
