Firm/soft latex setup looks good?

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to buy a new mattress and I'm leaning towards latex. I've been doing quite a bit of research on these forums, and while I will keep reading, I'm starting to get a clearer idea of what setup sounds good to me, and I wanted to get some feedback on it.

I'm 5'11", 155-160 lbs, and mainly a side sleeper (sometimes stomach).

I was thinking of doing the FBM 6" firm latex core, with a 2" soft latex comfort layer (also FBM), and putting this on the IKEA Laxeby adjustable slat foundation. I'm thinking this leaves the option of adding another inch of soft or extra soft latex later if the initial 2 is not enough.

Does that sound about right for my body type and sleeping style? All comments are welcomed and appreciated.

I have about the same dimensions and you are probably close.  I think you might need another inch (or 2) of soft on top since you are a side sleeper but starting with 2 inches should get you started.
