Does anyone have (or have tested) a Natural Form"Self-Adjusting bed" bed from www.satbed.com?

Hello all!  I've read through this forum quite a bit, and found some very valuable information.  I would like to thank all of you for that!

In my search for the "perfect bed", I have found this site www.satbed.com that sells what seems like a very high quality air-adjustable mattress.  They use latex (or memory foam) and wool toppers, much like FloBeds (which I am also highly considering).  In short, they use very high-quality components.

I consider many of the "popular" brands that invest heavily in advertising to be gimmiky, so I'm trying to avoid them.  I also want a bed from a manufacurer that has been around a while, and I can be confident about their warranty.

The Natural Form bed with "sat" technology seems well constructed, and I love the fact that it's adjustable, has 8 different "zones", and doesn't require an air pump!

The 90 day trial, 20 year warranty (10 non-prorated), and 100% satisfaction garuantee are icing on the cake.

If anyone has experience with these beds, and would like to share, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Aron

We purchased a King size Natural Form from the manufacturer in NY, received it late December, 2009.  As suggested, we set both sides at "optimum", but found it to be too firm. We then set both sides to "low", but could not see any difference.  This is a really firm mattress.  I called Natural Form, spoke to an owner.  He said there is very little difference in the settings, that the dial is there, primarily, to allow you to feel you have some control.  The mattress is actually set for the scientifically proven correct firmness.  Not sure I buy that....He also said your body needs to adjust to the mattress, that after years of sleeping poorly supported it could take four or five weeks to make the adjustment.

We were under the impression this mattress would adjust to us...not the other way around.  After 8 weeks of sleeping poorly and waking with lower back pain, we are returning the mattress.  Please be aware, their return policy requires that you ship via their designated carrier (Old Dominion) and they  withhold $150.00 from your refund for the freight.  I arrange freight for my business and know I could ship this for under $100, but they won't allow it.  Also, be certain you keep the original packing material as the mattress must be boxed for shipment, not just plastic wrapped.  I am spending another $95 to have a moving company bring the bed downstairs and box it.

I won't say the bed is bad, but it has proven bad for us.  If you like a very, very firm mattress, this may be the one for you.  Just be aware that it really is not adjustable - your body must do the adjusting.  For $2,500, I just don't want to have to learn to like it.
