Iam trying to buy a bed that would give me a real 8Hr sleep (No Back Issues.. etc, But need to throw away my existing mattress)

I initially wanted to buy Tempurpedic - But this costco price is attracting..

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?Prodid=11473343&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|93|1924|78455|67414&N=4034765&Mo=7&pos=1&No=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=67414&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC25093-Cat78455&topnav=

Any feedback on this mattress.

Also how true is the entire talk about memory foam beds being Hot?

If someone know more - how does these costco/sleep science beds stack up against the tempurpedic mattresses?

Alternatively - Also looking at some natural latex beds - http://www.sovn.com/ -- But these are getting expensive as i move along to what i want.

First of all, while some people certainly DO like Tempurpedic many of us here would say it does not give enough support for anyone who is at all sensitive, with mattress or sleep issues. I tried one and the first 2-4 nights I loved it. After a week it was killing me. Yes, the feel of the foam - the support of the foam - changed that quickly. I took it back.

Now as for this one, I checked it out and here's what it says it is made of:
  • 14” Visco/latex mattress fits the dimensions of your bed
  • Meets the requirements of 16 CFR Part 1633 - Federal flammability (open flame) standards
  • Cover: Silk and polyester blend fabric
  • Decorative rope cord trim and plush micro-suede sides

    Here's the part that counts:
  • Mattress Core top layer: 2” 5-lb Visco foam, rated 11-13 IFD
  • Second Layer: 2” Latex support layer in medium density
  • Third Layer: 1” Air Comfort Layer
  • Base Layer: 9” Air Channel Base, dual density IFD, relief cut polyurethane core
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Limited Warranty:  20 Years
  • King Dimensions:
    76”W x 80”L x 14”H
    Weight: 127 lbs
I'm not sure what a 9" air channel base is or what 1" of air comfort layer is...

At least it has 2" of latex as a support layer under the memory foam. It MIGHT be okay...
I'd say if CostCo still has a refund policy on this bed and you'd have at least 30 full days to try it out and could then return it for a full refund, then it might be worth trying.
