Cheap memory foam + topper?

I'm trying to decide what to buy, and there's too much choice.  I've tried lying on various memory foam, latex, spring, etc, mattresses and they all feel "fine" to me.  We are in our late 20's, 120lbs and 160lbs, so we're relatively light.  I think we do prefer the softer/plushy beds, at least when lying on them for a minute, so "normal" leaning towards plush would be good.  My current thinking is to buy an 8" base bed and then a topper, so that the topper can be easily changed out should "indentations" form.  My current thinking would be:

It looks like prices have dropped a bit since I last checked due to the holiday season.. so.. anyone have a recommendation between these choices (first, combo vs all-in-one, and then, which one in that category)?  Thanks!
