Bought Rahpsody - help

I just bought a Rhapsody tempurpedic. I measured the height of my Rahpsody Tempurpedic mattress. It is 11 inches!

But the Tempurpedic brochure says it is 12 inches!

So I called Tempurpedic on one of their numerous 1800 numbers. The customer service guy casually said height of the Tempurpedic mattress varies so I am okay! Then he casually asked if I have any more questions. He was speaking with a voice that led me to believe that he did not care 1 bit. I hung up telling him he was pretty rude.

I called back and this time they transferred me to sales. The sales lady looked up information for Rahpsody and told me I need to fill out a warrant form and take 3 photos of the mattress and send all this to them.  Then she said the Tempurpedic techincal people will "determine" if I have any case!

So my questions are:

1.  Should my brand new Rhapsody be of 11 inches height when TP says it should be 12 inches?

2. 3 photos of Rhapsody and filling out the soon to be arriving warranty form - will that help the TP technical people validate height of my Rhapsody?

(AND why are there so many 1800 numbers for Tempurpedic???!!!

Some one told me the TP company can make a TP mattress for $500 and sells it for thousands?

I wonder if these so many customer service numbers are boosting the cost of a TP mattresses?)

Thanks.

Tempur really oughta just fix their measurement on this mattress.  I have never seen one that measures a full 12" thickness.  I just measured my floor model @ 11.5".  I think the full 12" measurement is based on adding up all the layers of foam they use which totals 12", what they don't account for is the heavy tempur layers compressing the dual airflow (convoluted layers) slightly.

I just got my Rhapsody a few days ago, and it measures 11.5 inches. I noticed on TP's website, the thickness of the layers they use in their mattresses usually says "approximate", so I assumed there would be different total thicknesses and didn't worry about it when mine came up half an inch short.

Probably that and all the mailings they do. Ever since I sent off for their info pack, I've been getting 2-3 mailings a week from them. That's a lot of postage! And then there's all the TV commercials. I see them every night on one of the cable channels.
