Anyone have a dunlop mattress?

I have been searching for the right mattress for quite a while now and thought I would go check out how a talalay latex mattress feels. I actually checked out several of the Pranasleep talalay latex mattress, which are nice, but not for me. Talalay latex feels too soft even in the firmest grade to me and I also don't like the springiness. I do like the idea of latex so I was wondering if anyone has a dunlop latex mattress as I hear they tend to have a firmer feel. I also checked out the new Embody by Sealy which uses a synthetic dunlop latex on top and a polycore for support. I thought it was pretty nice, but was the firmest model in the line up and was just a little bit too firm. The next model up, the meditation, I think would be pefect for me, but have no way of testing it out first. I'm also interested in the Sleepez dunlop mattress. Anyways if anyone has a dunlop mattress or can help with information on one it would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

Roy,

Mike is correct.  Sealy does not make a 100% Talalay latex mattress.   Do not take a salesman's word for the contents of a mattress, EVER.  What you need to do is look at the contents TAG on the mattress.  If you do, you will see the contents of the mattress and you will see it is not 100% latex.

From the Sealy website, three lines of mattresses containing latex, none of them 100% latex:

Sealy brand latex foam - has a PU core

Embody by Sealy Latex Foam - latex and memory foam

Stearns & Foster Limited Edition Silver Dream - 2 inches of latex

Stearns & Foster Limited Edition Golden Elegance - a full three inches of latex!

Mike, do an internet search for Land and Sky mattresses in your area - or maybe a phone book search.  Some mattress retailers (smaller ones, not the big box stores) carry them.  Land and Sky uses Dunlop latex.

Thanks! Kim. These sales people at retail stores seem to have no knowledge of the products. They are interested in selling only.

Today I went to 2 different stores of the same retail chain and they gave me 2 different answers to the same question about Tempurpedics.

One told me deluxe was the firmest tempurpedic mattress. Other said no deluxe is medium to soft! and it is not the firmest tempurpedic mattress.

You would have to be extremely heavy to bottom out on 44 ILD talalay.  Also, it is very firm.
