I am new the the site, but love the concept of soo many reviews of mattresses in one place. Since I am a new mattress owner after having the old one for about a dozen years, I was surprised to see how much mattress changed over the years!

Well, after much homework at local and online retailers, we ended out buying from The Sleep Center and picked out the Anniversary model by Scandinaivan Sleep System was the one for us. This mattress is amazing, IMO, and I would suggest it to anyone that is looking for a new mattress. We bought the queen size set, with new foundation and box...along with pillows and sheets and a protector. We also had a great experience at that store.

Specs:

The Anniversary by Scandinavian Sleep Systems

Resilitex provides natural alignment of the spine, while the Visco-Elastic "Memory Foam" cradles the body  eliminating pressure points.

Foam Layer Features

1. Strataflex Quilt: Double Layers of Super Soft High Resiliency foam keeps body impressions from forming.

2. Memory Foam Cushioning: Cool "breathable" Memory Foam gently conforms to a sleepers body contours, reducing pressure points that cause tossing and turning while also eliminating "motion transfer."

3. Resilitex Foam Cushioning: Resilitex is an ultra-resilient foam that has a unique latex-like feel.

4. High Density Foam Cushioning: For unparalled comfort and superior durability.

5. Ventation Eyelets: Hundreds of Fresh Air Ventilators allow fresh air flow through the mattress, keeping it cool and fresh.

6. Lifetime Foam Foundation: Acts as a shock absorber which adds to the longevity of the mattress.

Finish: Belgium Damask

Anyone else give the Scandinavian a try? Love it as much as we do? We have had it about 7 months now - so I hope the positive experience will sleep with us for many more years.! :)

Funride, I bought the Scandanavian right after they came out, so I'm sure it was a different model than you have.  At the time we purchased the mattress the "warranty" was for 1 1/2" depression.  If it's 2" now I would guess there were definate issues.   The 2" depression was actually measured by the dealer when they came out to look at the mattress.  MW was just looking for an excuse and used the bill os sale as that excuse, stating we don't know how old the mattress is.  For whatever it's worth, it still had the original tag on it that showed the manufacture date and that it was built for MW.  We've been through two beds from a local mattress company since and are looking for a new replacement again.  The first was a pocket coil and it was rebuilt once because of foam compression.  It gave out again, this time the coils were shot, and the company offered us a no charge replecement.  The replacement has given up now, as well.  The company doesn't want to deal with us any more and we were told to go elsewhere to purchase a bed.  As Pheonix notes, warranties have so many exclusions they may not be honored.

I've been reading this forum for quite some time and will likely go with a full latex for  our next bedif I can convince my wife that the price is worth it.

I LOVE MY SCANDINAVIAN SLEEP SYSTEM!  I got the Sandmahn and I've had it almost four years.  I sleep good EVERY night.  I honestly and truly never have a bad night of sleep.  The only down side is, I can't sleep on anything else.  When i visit family or go to a hotel, it's horrible!  I yearn for my Sandmahn when I'm not on it.  I can't even begin to explain the quality of this thing.  The only reason I'll wake up during the night is because I have to use the restroom.  I dream all night, every night.  It's such an unbelievable deep level of sleep, it's nearly ineffable.
